Ok guys. I need help. I have pulled my armor and assessed the rest of the damage that incurred during the NEA Snow Run. I have attached pictures of the areas in question.

I do not think this is an issue. The scratched part seems to be bent a little inward but I do not think there is any binding

I think this is not a real issue either. It is a bit punched up but I will have to wash the truck and see if any of the welds are cracked.

The next two are the front hangers for the leaf springs. A bit mangled.

The next two are the shock mounts. The tabs are not that bad on one and folded into the nut and bolt on the other. I am going to get a U-Bolt flip kit.

The bottom of my pumpkin is a bit scratched up but I do not think it is leaking. I think I just have to protect it and replace the beaten up bolts.

I am not sure what has to be fixed to keep me rolling safely, any advice, tips, tricks, help, etc is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

David

Let's see if I can give you a hand Dave.

Pic 1 - The LCAs get tagged a lot while on the trail. From the pic it's doesn't look like the area in question is going to damage the Sway bar linkage. Might want to see how your alignment looks as a good hit might tweak the LCA ( not damage but moved a little as the camber bolts spacers shift. hard to explain on here)

Pic 2 - Cross member should be fine. double check for cracked welds. Mine looks exactly like that on both sides.

Pic 3 and 4 - You may want to bent the hangers straight again just so you don't wear the bushings out early. Mine also look like this from trails at Rausch

Pic 5 and 6 - Again, Might want to straighten out the tabs so they don't rub on the bushings.
Do the shock mount look to be "straight" on a side view? Not bent at all.
If it's just these tabs in the pic you'll be ok.

Hope this helps Dave

If you have any questions feel free to PM me as well.

Later

DaveP

I agree, your LCA's should be ok. Mine look worse than that and are structurally sound. I would do what Dave says and try to bend the front spring mounts and shock tabs strait. Good luck and it could have been worse.

It's all fine. Just leave it. It will only be a problem when you need to remove parts. Worry about it then.

Ernie, Dave, and Curt,

It was great you guys were able to take the time to help me out today. Thank you for everything. Maybe next time I will avoid the rocks and trees instead of hitting them.
