So I did a test fit of my 15" wheels today and they went on fine except they don't clear the front calipers, I only tried on the front driver wheel when I noticed this.

Right on the edge of the caliper, it rubs on the side where the arrow saw brake caliper, just more towards the front and not actually on the front.

What's my next course of action???

A buddy mentioned shaving the calipers the miniscule amount it would need, but I've seen mixed thoughts on this all over the internet..

I've ground them down on other vehicles before. If it's minor, it's not a problem if you not changing the structural integrity of the calipers.

What year X and what kind of wheels?

What offset rim did you get?
on most aftermarket rims the center is a little smaller do to the step rather than a factory style rim.
so if the offset pushes the wheel back over the caliper they will sometimes hit.
You could shave the caliper but if it is that close the rim will flex on turns and still rub at times.
You may need spacers to push the rim out a little to allow more clearance.
If you pull the rim out a little, dose it still rub the caliper?
a Photo if concern would help.

Offset is +6, I have demounted them but I can go take a picture of the rim, I am also thinking I may need a re-balance becuase the sticky weights are also right in the way.

I shaved mine years ago when I had the same problem. My rims were 4.75 BS though. I never had a problem after I ground the calipers.

Cool, sounds good, got caught up in the BL, will be doing this tomorrow.. should I paint over where I grind? I have a spray can of undercoating, I can't imagine leaving bare metal to the elements is good?

Painting is Ok

No undercoater!!!
use a brushable or spray can, hi- temp caliper paint.

Calipers can get seriously hot...800+deg.
the undercoat would melt or catch on fire!!Image

I didn't know about the undercoat either.
Great advice.

Most Undercoat is either asphalt or rubber based.
