Oil leak from driver side cover occured again.

Mechanic is doing a vaccum test and compression test.
He 'l check the pcv valve etc.

6 weeks ago the oil sip stick popped out inthe morning after a 8 mile drive.

there may be a possibility that the piston rings are worn, causing blowback and excessive compression in the engine. If this is the case I could get a new engine or rebuild the current one ( 2003 4wd no turbo 140k on it) never any issues other than regular maintenance

Other than the mechanic who has it now ( whom i dont really know.) would any one be able to reccomend me to a shop to do the rebuild ?

I live in boston car is in wakefield, ma, it can be transported/driven.

thank you for any info.

You might want to look into just getting a junkyard low mileage motor and have it swapped in.
Much cheaper than pulling the engine and rebuilding it, also a lot faster.

check out
www.car-part.com to locate used engines (or any part) near you.

Can't recommend a mechanic since I'm not local.

Good luck.
