Anyone replace on yet?
Mine is triggering the engine light.
I removed it several times in order to replace the distributor, I know I f-ed it up putting it back together.

Any tips for replacing the TPS?
Are there any tests for resistance, etc that I need to do after replacing it, or is it just a bolt-in part?

Thanks!!

I've replaced two of them. Really, I don't remember much about it, so I don't remember it being a bad job. The part is expensive, like $125, but I think it's just removing a few parts to get to it and then bolting it in.

thanks Scott. I've removed mine a half dozen times before, which was how I broke it. LOL acces is pretty open to it, and it's just two Phillips screws and two electrical plugs.
I wasn't sure if there was a specific orientation, idle speed or adjustment needed.
Thanks

I picked up an aftermarket TPS from Pepboys for $60 yesterday, one year warranty.
So I'll throw it in this weekend, hopefully that will fix the SES light and code.

After I replace the battery, I "should" have a somewhat reliable truck before I tear it apart for the timing belt/head gaskets/cams/ etc major service. LOL

Changed it out today.
Nothing really dramatic except for that aftermarket part was exactly the same as the OEM nissan one,
Hitachi TPS, except for half the cost. :D

Install was straight forward, two screws, two harnesses.
Once I installed it, I got a SES light within a mile of driving. :(
I loosened up the screws a bit and rotated the TPS slightly, then tightened it back down.
I guess you have to preload it a bit.
After clearing the SES light, it hasn't come back as of yet.
I'll find out for sure tomorrow when I drive it to work. :D

Thanks!!
