heres the current situation:2001 xterra se 5spd 4x4 121k miles. replaced slave cylinder and master cylinder replaced 6 months ago, original oem clutch. problem: vehicle has no 1st gear been starting in 2nd. will go into gear and release clutch and nothing. 2nd clutch pedal keeps going to floor and not coming back up and has to be rebleed after excessive cold storms roll through and it will temporarly fix. and 3rd i have been unable to find a rebuilt 5spd tranny yet. kinda hard to look for one when your a regional truck driver.

Why do you need the 5 speed manual tranny rebuilt? Sounds like you just need a clutch replacement considering the 120K mileage on the clutch and the not going into gear and gear slippage/non-engagement issue, unless I'm just thinking crazy.

I'm a bit fearful of the day when that comes for me since I'm at 82K miles on my OEM clutch, but I'm sure it will be fun to learn how to do it and see if others want to give a hand in the process!

My clutch lasted 147000 miles and I did it in at ECXC during the competition.

So, while it wasn't fun to replace it, I did get my money's worth out of it.
