Scott good news and bad news about the altenator bearing that you gave me to check out for you. Bad news first, it is an odd size the bearing place I took it to said it was anyway. Because it is a 27mm O.D. if it was a 26 or a 28 it would be an easy cross refrence.

Good news I did find it though.http://www.transpo.de/Catalog/Browse.htm Actuall dimensions are 10mm I.D. x 27mm O.D. x 11mm.

Bad news it's not in this country, but that should give you enough information to cross refrence it locally.

Nope. This is a bearing for a first gen alternator, front side I belive. Correct me if I'm wrong scott. It may also fit the second gen, but I don't know. I've never pulled apart an alternator for rebuild. I just buy them that way.

Scott gave me one of his old alternator bearings on the mod day to see if I could find a replacement.

Lou, thanks for looking into this. Yes is is the front bearing for the 1 gen alty and I have not been able to find a sealed bearing like it except from the dealer. I look into the info you gave me.

Who knows, it might fit second gens...the keys are the same. Anyone have a spare lying around?

You can cross reference part numbers on that site which is great.
