Can you post a picture of what you tapped into and I'll try to help. In the picture I posted earlier in this thread I twisted the plug upside down so the wires could be seen. That may have been confusing.

I'm sorry man, I have not responded. I did get it and have been meaning to take a look at my truck. It looks to me like you have the right wires, so I'm not sure what's wrong. Make sure you have the shielded wire, it's the thickest one; that's the signal code wire to the ECU.

I'll look at my truck and get back to you. From your pictures, it looks right.

Do you have a multimeter? Have you ohm'ed out the new knock sensor. There is a possibility that the new one is bad.

I just started throwing the P328, and my gas mileage seems to be down. I've heard mixed opinions that this "doesn't effect non S/C vehicles," but should I worry about the code?

If so, this sounds like the way to go. Has anyone found a suitable spot to mount the sensor on an n/a?

You have to ohm out the sensor. I'll have to look up the range it should be.

Man, I'm glad you got it cleared up. I knew you were close from the pictures. I hope it continues to work. Mine has for over a year.

Hi,
tried this KS move on a 2002 s/c frontier after poor performance and ks code... 0328 code is gone but having other issues that i am unable to diagnose that i think were related to the knock sensor throwing a code..no power at highway speeds...boost feels all gone (feels like pullin a stubborn mule). allot of heat in the engine bay and timing still looks retarded(using a scan gauge with simple knowledge on how to use it).

i have no other codes...things i have checked, exhaust replaced...checked vacuum lines...spark...rotor and distributor...cleaned maf..running hightest 93 fuel and do not know where to go from here. dealer has inspected with no results..it checked out to them. it runs fine while its cold..about ten minutes...then it just bogs down...looked for a crack in the exhaust manifold...could see anything apparent...no noise from either side.

any help appreciated for direction on my next move.

hw
