I got my truck back today. It's all done except plumbing up the EGR and putting in new O2 sensors. It is still fairly loud, but it has five holes in it right now. It is 2 1/4" and then they went 3" beyond the muffler. I didn't ask them to do that, but it is kind of cool. The last 2 feet of the exhaust pipes are removeable so if I crush them between the bumper and a rock, they can be easily replaced. The rest of the pipes are welded.

Quick question Scott..

In the second picture with the shock.
Is that enough clearance between the shock and new exhaust.
It may just be the camera angle, but it looks like if you flex that side it will hit the exhaust.
I was thinking if that side is at full droop.

I noticed the same thing after I took the pictures. Also, it looks like my vent tube is laying right in the exhaust. It's the camera angle. There's about 3" of clearance off the vent tube and good 2" around the shock.

Thanks!

I find I take better care of my truck when it's not rusty, and after this winter since the State started using liquid calcium chloride and salt, the rust was worse than ever. I ground everything down, put on POR and painted everything I could. It's also more fun to work on without all the rust. I do it every year.

Oh, ok good. I'm sure the shop knew what they were doing. It just looked a bit close. ;)
Looks great though!
Nice job!
Too bad it was a big hit to the bank account, at least you did it right. :)

My EGR system:

I hooked up the EGR system this morning, yeah, I know the 2000X doesn't have one, but here it is.

I still need to put in the O2 sensors. They are on order.

The Fed Ex guy showed up just in time and delivered the O2 sensors. The front ones fit, but I have to splice the wires for both of the rear ones and it's raining out. Anyway, they are all installed in the the bungs so here is what it sounds like:

You just have to cut the wires, solder in a length of 12ga braided copper wire, shrink wrap the splice on each one and wrap the whole bundle. I used 12 gauge, which is heavier than the original wires as to gain as little resistance as possible.

Link works for me. :D
