Hi guys! I guess it's time to get off my butt, sign up & join in on some of your wheeling outings.

Me - I've been driving 4X4 MT SUVs for the last 34 years (yeah, I'm no spring chicken) and the X is definitely the most fun. I have primarily used the low range and now locker for launching and retrieving duck boats up snow and ice covered ramps - have I said how much I love the X's locker?

Family - married with two grown & married off daughters (youngest got married last month). While I'm wicked proud of them, it's been nice having them out of the house and working - translated - I can afford more toys and time to use them.

My Pro-4X has a Shrock front bumper & sliders, Maxterra rear bumper, OME springs fore and aft with the stock shocks. Skids are on order and the heavy duty diff cover is waiting for installation along with the heated tow mirrors.

Dave P, XterraVT, this is the X that you left the note on last fall in Cabelas parking lot the day before a UCONN game. Thank you and sorry it took me so long to reply

I look forward to meeting a bunch of you,
Scott

PS since I don't see an edit button, I have a question on CB radios, I want to add one. Is anyone local knowledgeable on them? Is there a good shop that can set me up with a complete compatible set up?

Scott

Ahoy, Scott, and welcome aboard! pirate

Dave P is currently in Brazil, working the World Cup.

Here's a thread on how I did my CB. I've since removed the folder over part of the mount, and just left the spring for the antenna. Other than that, everything else is still the same.

Guys, thanks for the warm welcome!

MtDewMike, I have seen your post referenced on the thenewX site before, its a very worthwhile read. Are you still happy with the no-ground plane antenna? They seem to be a lot simpler install and maybe more reliable over time.

Scott

I've been very happy with it, and have had no issues. The amount of cable that came with the kit was just enough for the route I ran it, with no extra slack left over.

Check out our run to Summit/MaBell coming up on 6/21. It should be a great time.

Welcome from RI! Been busy lately, but I host Mod Dayse once in a while here in RI. Maybe something to check out.

I went with the Cobra wx75. Great compact radio and super easy install. Check it out
