First of all, big shout out to Bklyn.X for helping get me set up here.
I live about 30 minutes north of Albany and just recently bought a 2012 Xterra in June. My friend in Washington state has a 1st gen Xterra and I went offroading with him out there and had a great time so I am trying to get into it myself.
I come from small and lowered Volkswagens so the Xterra feels like a monster truck when I drive that around. I also have a 2011 diesel Golf, a 2003 Golf that I GTI swapped a couple years ago, and a 1981 Rabbit pickup that I am currently swapping a 2001 turbo diesel into (4 cars is too many but I am bad at getting rid of stuff). It's nice being able to roll under the Xterra on a creeper without having to jack it up or drive up on ramps, but it's also too tall to fit in my garage, so you can't win them all I suppose.
I look forward to being able to join you guys for some events and hopefully I can make it to the Back 2 School Run in October. If anybody is in the area and interested in exploring, let me know. I have been trying to go to Mettowee with one of my friends but he is afraid to scratch his Tacoma and he works weekends a lot so it's been hard to coordinate.
