Greetings,

I picked up an 07 Xterra now named "Exy" (https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/exy) this summer to give me some sanity during COVID. I recently added a 1.5" Old Man Emu HD lift and swapped in a Pro-4X rear axle w/ locker. Also have a winch on the front and rock sliders and full skid plates should be on this week, if not next. That and everything from the Suggestions to bring when wheeling post.

No real expectations for joining the club but I figured I'd check it out. If anyone is interested in exploring the back roads with another rig in my general area, let me know. I'm at it every weekend Saturday and Sunday for the most part. I imagine at some point I'll find a suitable group ride to join in too.

Happy wheeling!

-Jeff

Welcome. We used to be up in the Swanzey area when LMFT used to be open. Miss those trails.

Exy - would be an apt description for our whole hobby :-)

LMFT should take down their website.

A gate went up at fire pond / bridge brook a couple weeks ago. I'm unclear what the deal is there but I don't like going where I'm not wanted. I took a run (on foot) up there earlier this year and it seems people were making bypasses into areas they were not supposed to be going in, so I suspect that had something to do with it.

I'm generally sticking to class 6 roads and finding a plenitude of opportunities, though some long time locals I've encountered have complained about how many places have closed.

I'm always overlanding class 6 roads, dirt roads, available legal fire roads and trails. Tons of stuff in bennington, Wilmington, Marlboro, Putney, and some real cool stuff all the way to Rutland. Im originally from vt, and know hinsdale, swansey, Nashua, keene ect, very well. Would really like to make my way to you some time, whenever you would like to set something up, and make a day of it. Nexterra is a great group, loaded with very knowlegable people, and have done pretty much everything to Xterras and frontiers, (even jeeps and Toyotas lol)! Hit me up.

Hey Jeff. I'm a little less than 2 hours south of you in CT.

If you are planning a full day trail run, I'd be interested in coming up to join you. I'm up early on weekends, so I've got no problem being up there for an early start.

Hi Jeff and Carpy,

I just can't seem to get enough wheeling / exploring and am typically at it 8+ hours a day every Saturday and Sunday. I'm continuing to search out new places to explore as that seems to be the most fun.

Let's set something up in PM.

Thanks,
-Jeff
