We are excited to welcome you to our club's premier event of the year. The event will be held at Monson and Gremlin Graveyard, both NEA properties. Between the two locations this year, everything from stock to adavnced rigs should find suitable trails! All vehicles are welcome to come and enjoy this event!


When: Saturday, September 15, 2018
*Most folks will arrive at base camp on Friday afternoon.

Drivers Meeting Time: 8:30am Saturday at Pratt Field at Oak Haven Campground. GPS: 42.06793, -72.22202

Base Camp: Oak Haven Campground, 22 Main Street, Wales, MA 01081 GPS: 42.06793, -72.22202

Wheeling Location: Monson & Gremlin Graveyard (a NEA property)

There will be 3 group levels:
  • Green - stockish groups will run Gremlin Graveyard
  • Blue & Black - modified groups will run the trails at Monson


Event Fee:
  • $50 - Supporting members
  • $60 - Non-supporting members
  • $15 - Dinner guest. Free for children 12 & under

Payment: Paypal (paypal@nexterra.org)

Event fees cover:
  • Saturday Dinner
  • Event Shirt
  • Event Decal
  • Land use fee for one wheeling location ($25/rig goes to land owner)
  • Depending on leader availability & willingness, your group may run the second location as well. If running the second location, an additional $25 land use fee will be charged
  • 25 raffle tickets, with the opportunity to buy extras
  • Hanging with some of the most welcoming Xterra owners in the Northeast
*Please make plans to bring a lunch for Saturday's Run.
*Saturday evening there will be a party - B.Y.O.B., B.Y.O. drink, snacks, cooler and ice. The raffle will be following dinner.


Camping Info:
Our base camp this year will be Oak Haven Campground in Wales, MA. NEXTerra will have exclusive use of the Pratt Field at the campground for the event weekend (Fri-Sun) and access to power and water connections.
You are responsible for your own reservations, please call (413) 245-7148 & state that you are with 'NEXterra'. You must let the campground know that you are with Nexterra to access the Pratt Field.
Camping fees are $40/night/site. Reserve NOW to ensure a spot in the field.


Waivers: All attendees (drivers & passengers) must sign the NEXTerra waiver. Please print it out, sign it and bring it with yout the event OR you can sign it electronically and email it to paypal@nexterra.org.

----------------08/25 UPDATE---------------
We are very excited to announce that we now have the opportunity to wheel at Gremlin Graveyard, Friday night as well.

Meet at campground at 5pm, leave for the trail head at 5.30pm. All meeting the additional requirements are welcome. Look for Ernie or Suresh.

Additional Requirements to wheel Friday night - Fully registered participant for B2SR, pay the additional $25 land use fee & bring a signed waiver.

Shirts:
There are 2 options for shirts - a long sleeve and a short sleeve. A short sleeve event shirt is part of the event fee, but if you would like a long sleeve shirt, it is an additional $5 on top of the event fee.

Please specify here in this thread the following
:

- If you would like your event shirt to be a long sleeve.
--- If you don't reply at all, we will assume you just want a short sleeve shirt.
- If you would like to order additional shirts.
--- Please specify the size, short or long sleeve, and the quantity.

If you would like to order additional shirts, prices are:
Short sleeves: S-XL $15, 2XL and up $20
Long sleeves: S-XL $20, 2XL and up $25

* There is a strict “NO ALCOHOL ON TRAILS” policy in effect! Please leave all alcoholic beverages at the campground. If you are caught with booze at anytime on the trails, you will be asked to leave and potentially banned from future NEXterra events.

* Quiet time at the campground is 11pm & must be adhered to

the monson property is only avail. a couple times a year for 4x4 use
we are lucky to have access to this fun property. modified rigs only.

solid blue
33s and a locker armor and a winch suggested
there are a few different lines on them in some spots

like the blue trail at harris mt.

Minimum rig requirements for GG? I don't think I'll have the skids in time.

Also, is the event fee per person or per rig?

Also also....can you guys recommend a suitable CB under $100? I really don't get out to wheel much so it doesn't need to be able to do anything beyond communicating with people on the trail.

While there is risk, you could run the easy trails at GG without skids. Choosing the correct line becomes a lot more important. However, it all comes down to your risk tolerance.

Event fee is for the driver/rig. Any passengers with you who are attending the dinner will need to pay the Dinner Guest fee.
