One again, the Back to School Run was another success!

Thanks to all who came out this past weekend to join in the fun! It was good to meet more new faces. The green group did a GREAT job on Saturday, and from what I kept hearing, they all had an awesome time!

I'm looking forward to seeing you all again at the next run - our Halloween run!

Great weekend, big thanks to everyone who put this together, all the sponsors and the guys who made burgers and pancakes-n-eggs!!!

Was a great first (of many) run with you all, learned quite a bit about wheelin' and why armor should be moved to the top of the " todo" list!!!

Now to figure out how to dress the X up like a pumpkin..... :bat:

See you guys in Nov!!!

One of these years I'll make it to one. How were the trails? Thinking about taking the fj club on a road trip.

I did the Green trail, it was lots of fun. Great scenic paths through heavily wooded areas with enough obstacles to not get bored. The rocky bits were challenging but we had spotters and the stock X's preformed really well.

We bumped into a group on dirt bikes but not crowed at all.

Very well organized and good communication throughout.

Nice. Did you guys have a big group? Our annual run has about 100+ trucks. Your thoughts?

Roughly 20 rigs, spread across black, blue and green groups. Ernie, Mike, Dave and others pre-ran some trails ahead of time to keep things moving smoothly for everyone.

Also the camp site was close by, had room for trailers, and could have hosted 3 times our group size.

Camp grounds could handle you fine however IMHO 100+ trucks would be too much for those trails. You'd be bumping into each other all day long..

Not a good idea, you'll spend all day stuck in traffic. And if someone breaks down on the harder trails, there's no going around them unless you're on a dirt bike or quad.

Ok thanks. So I'll get a group of 20-35 trucks and have at it. I wouldn't do anything harder then blue anyway. I have a ride back to Long Island to think about lol. Were the trails rated like Rausch that you know of?

Mmm... I wouldn't do LMFT with a group larger than 10. More than that will need to be split & staggered. During the ENH run in June, we had one gigantic group of 29 rigs & it was painfully slow on just the perimeter/green trail. The blues were blue-black/black I would say.
