B2S Run 2011 - Convoy - MA, RI, NJ, CT, etc.

(Copied and modified slightly from Svendog's post last year)

Post up here if you'd like to caravan to Scott's house for the B2SR 2011.

The plan will be to end up meeting on Friday, Sept. 16 at the Blanford plaza/service area on the MA Pike (I-90), which is about 15-20 minutes past the intersection of the pike and I-91 around 2:00 PM. We'll then leave the service area at 2:30 PM for the rest of the drive - approx. 2+ hours away. That gets us to Scott's around 5:00 PM, giving us time to unpack and get settled and get out to the stores to buy anything else that's needed - settling in for dinner around 7:00 PM.

Mike if you want to post this link to Google maps in the first post it may help for people meeting at the rest area so they can judge their timing to get to the rest area / meeting spot.

Location A is where i will be getting on the highway.
Location B is the rest area.
Location C is Scott's house.

Due to all the flooding in our area recently, please be sure to check your route a few days before you leave. Don't check now, because we're just getting over the flood and roads are opening every day, actually hourly right now.

I-88 is still closed in some sections now, but should be opened by next week. Right now, you can't get off my exit, but it looks clear and the problem is west of here. I am sure it will be opened by tomorrow. For other routes, there are a lot of bridges out. Before planning your route, check http://www.511ny.org/ for the latest updates.

As for wheeling, that place retains water like a bloated old lady, so be ready for some fun!

I'll be watching the weather and will make any adjustments that we need as we get closer.

As for the property... yes, I will be bringing a change of clothes and extra towels.. I have a feeling that I will have need of both

Yeah that works for me. We can meet at the stop and shop if that works for you. then jump on 9 to 91. I would leave around 12:45 so we can meet at 12:30 and we should be able to get to the rest stop at 2 since it is about hour and 15 min away.
