Just wanted to find out if it was you guys going up Patria Rd in Fultonham, NY? The family and I were at the shauls on the corner there and saw a TRAIN of xterra's heading up the road. There are some great trails up there, we take the Montero around every once in awhile (we're on Mallon Rd.). Hope you guys had a good time.

Welcome. That was us that you saw.

Unfortunately, the biggest obstacle we encountered was not find very much legal wheeling in the area.

i'd say most of the good roads up there are state land. The biggest obstacle you will find is that many of them dead end. With the thousand guys you had it would have been tough to get everyone to the end and then to turn around. It's pretty quiet up there, nobody will bother you much. You could always do a dry run solo and find the best routes. The roads are scattered all over, but most end up on the main roads. Many of them are used by the snowmobile path (green trail?) and are easily done by a 4x4. Well, easily done by your groups 4x4s.

We are having a hard time finding legal trails up there, that's our biggest thing.

If we don't get confirmation from the local Ranger office we won't do the trail/road because of legality issues.

Are there a lot of legal wheeling trails that you're aware of in that area?

unfortunately we found out last year that it is illegal to drive on snowmobile trails, so that pretty much knocks out 99% of the trails. :(

Those 2 statements definitely don't go hand in hand in NYS, or anywhere else in New England for that matter...
