What would be the trail rating compared to Rausch creek? I don't have lockers.

On the Rausch Creek scale I’d say hard blues & blacks. Lockers would certainly help but I think full armor, good tires, lift & a healthy acceptance of possible damage are more important.
Good tow points front & rear are critical.

It’s a great property to wheel & Sept in VT has a nice views too.

Bummer about the " easy" trails. But they had a lot of flooding, I'm sure they are washed out.

Yea, I liked those trials. I haven’t been up there but there were pictures on the NEA of barriers & the closure. There was quite a lot of water last year too.

You’ll like the trails at Badlands too Tony. Sort of like the ones at LMFT that we went down one B2SR.

Would there be any interest in doing an alternate activity instead of a stock run?

trail cleanup options locally? walking trails, driving some of the dirt roads. I don't know about you guys but i always find everything from beer cans to tires discarded along the trail and backroads.

I'd be interested, already put in for time off that weekend.

I don't know that southern edge of VT very well but onx does lol.

Also, any particular reason there isn't a stock run at Badlands?
Description:
The Vermont Badlands is a private property located in Stamford VT managed by the NEA.
Trail rating:
The property offers some stock like trails ( 32's open /open ) all the way to 37+ Locked Locked. The trails are clearly marked with wooden signs and a trail map is available.

There’s is a perimeter loop that’s stockish but I don’t think it’s enough to make a full day of. I personally wouldn’t run a stock Xterra there. And if I wouldn’t, I don’t feel right telling others a stock Xterra will be fine. It’s not to say one can’t run them, just needs to accept the higher risk.

Having said that, I think, Jared & Tom, are probably ok to run the perimeter trail. Maybe even some others there. But again it’s $25 for land use, even if you only wheel a few mins there. It’s a call you’ll need to make.

The video shows how majority of the trail in Badlands are. It’s an awesome place as long as you know what you’re getting into.

I'm interested in running the 'easier' perimeter trail.

I'd be interested if it were another weekend. I've got a wedding on the 16th that I can't miss (because it's mine). I've been unnaturally busy this summer but I think I'll get some more availability closer to fall if anybody wants to get something like this together

Hahaha…that’ll be a less than ideal way to start your married life.

Congratulations!
