I like the taking out and replacing an alternator, as its not as long a time as some others, and, its something they should all know how to do.

The other one could be removing a rear sway bar, or some other commonly needed mod.

It could be boring to watch though.

How about we just head over to the range and shoot stuff?

Since I'm Very new, and i have only been to the Northern Exposure Run...
and i don't know what events happen at ECXC... but i would love to watch the blue group run a short blue trail, and a black group run a black trail... it would need to be short and hour or 2 long, and have the ability to get broken trucks off the course, so competition doesnt slow down... i have no idea on how feasible this is.. but your looking for ideas

Xau

Ive had an idea for something to add to the packet that gets handed out at the event. I was thinking something like a list of parts that other people will be carrying with them on the trails that they would be willing to lend to someone and a contact number of course or cb channel. Also tools for that matter like a ball joint press or breaker bar. Of course this would be a voluntary thing but it may help avoid the phone tag hoping someone has the part you need. Of course no one would be carrying a spare diff on the trails but for the small stuff like brake lines, ujoints, cv's, ect.

This is a great idea. I know there was a thread on the ECXC site last year where people posted up what they would be carrying as spares. Maybe we can expand that this year.

Years ago there was a "support team" that ran around helping folks. Maybe we could try that again?

A small idea but one i think would help is supplying some type of vinyl decal where everyone can put their online user name on and stick it on the back of their truck. We almost always only know people by usernames, I think it would help people make connections.

The time that Will Broadus and I worked as the "support team" we were kept rather busy. May be something for you to look into again.

mixxali4 and myself offer our services as support team for Saturday @ ecxc this year. Mailman might be as well. Why you ask? Well... we have taken that entire week off to explore Pennsylvania's, ecxc falls at the beginning of our journey and we dont wana miss it. We have 2 Garmin 650t Rinos as well as CB's for tracking and communicatorio purposes. Ta-ta
