awesome, I thought you weren't gonna make it out there until thursday.

I'm interested in meeting you guys in binghamton too then, it should only add about another 30mins or so to my trip. I think.

Yeah, I-90E to I-81S. Mapquest puts me at about 3.5hrs from Buffalo to Binghamton, and google maps puts me at about 4hrs. Not really sure which one is more accurate.

If I were taking the trip directly to PA, I'd typically take the 390S to route 15 and so forth...that would get me close to Elmira.

Binghamton is further out of the way, but being all main highway, it shouldn't be as bad.

Actually, whenever I head to Buffalo from here, I'd take 17/I-86 to 390. It's an hour from Elmira to Binghamton. If you cut across to 390 and then head to Binghamton that way, you may save yourself some time. Just an idea.

We could meet in Binghamton on Upper Front Street. There is a plaza with a movie theater and Cracker Barrel in it. Easiest to meet behind the Cracker Barrel, along Front Street. (parking lot is usually empty there).

For Scott: I-88 South to I-81 South to Exit 5, right onto Upper Front Street (Route 11). Turn right into plaza parking lot at what I believe is the first light.

For Erik: If you go via Route 17, then its Route 17/I-86 East to Binghamton, then I-81 North to Exit 5, right onto Upper Front Street (Route 11) Turn right into plaza parking lot at what I believe is the first light. Otherwise its I-81S to Exit 5.

Any idea how long the trip took you going that way?

Regardless, I'll plan on meeting you guys there behind cracker barrell at about noon, unless I hear otherwise. :D

around 3 hours erik.

i forget where in buffalo you are, but you can cut right to 390 via 20A or head to Batavia on the thruway and head down 63 to Geneseo and get on 390 there.

Sorry guys, I have a change of plans...I was originally going to meet my buddy from WestPAX in Bradford and ride down with him, but the plans went astray. Well, it worked out so that he can leave early on Wed. too, so I'm going to meet up with him for the ride to Echo Valley.

I still plan on getting to the campground around 2pm or so, which I think is when you guys are going to get there as well. So if it's cool with you, lets meet up at the campground and figure out our tent situations.

I'll be taking a different route back home on Sunday, so if anyone from Rochester, Buffalo, etc. wants to convoy back, that would cool. Let me know.
