Funny my biggest client who gave be 50% of my biz last year was ExxonMobil. This year despite huge profits they didn't feel they needed any capital improvement projects. That and the huge hit industry has taken the past 10 years in NJ. People are fleeing this state like a nuclear bomb went off. Cannot say that I blame them.

Keith, its always a shame when someone in the community gets rid of their x or has to sell their stuff, but being a new parent with two young ones myself, its understandable. The X is our family vehicle and I just can't risk breaking it right now. My wife would like a mini van as well and maybe if that happens, then i can get back out there with the X again. Of course, the price of gas never helps. Go wheeling for even a day is pretty pricey. Thats one thing I've liked about fishing...besides some bait or lures...its free!

I have also been thinking that I would like to eventually get a wheeling vehicle that is not my daily driver and one that is maybe cheaper to get mods for. Maybe in a few years when the kids start school and we don't have the double daycare bill!

I did just get a new job though and that comes with a nice bump in pay, so that might help things!

Sorry..a but of long winded ramble...

I?m not saying driving your Xterra is the way to happiness, but it?s one of the things that makes me happy. Seeing ether one of you guys driving a mini-van would make me very sad. Live life my friends, you don?t have to drive an Xterra but please don?t drive a mini-van and please don?t postpone doing the things that make you happy.

well Keith... I'm sorry to hear about this. Hopefully someday you'll again be driving an X around.

As for ECXC... sorry guys. I'm really upset about not making ECXC but my APA pool team qualified for Nationals and we got a free trip to Vegas in August. I just cant swing the days off at work with that and taking my 2 1/2 weeks for AT this summer. I'm REALLY pissed about it too. I was really looking forward to ECXC. Next year I'm going no matter what.

There might not be an ECXC north of the Carolinas next year and all the folks on this site will be on the new Upstate NY Hyundai Entourage (UNYHE) site.

A ?first car? used mini-van with over 100,000 miles on it doesn?t count. Good for driving the band with the gear, picking up girls at high school, smoking and drinking in the back.

Party on!Image

I've never owned a mini-van, and I never will. Unless it was set up for drag-racing or something. ;)

Well it is a very practical car for a Mom. It is difficult for my wife to get the stroller up high in the X and the cRV just doesn't have enough room.

The minivan was awesome!

Add me to the list of not attending ECXC. I'll be in Macedonia for 2 weeks. :(

Not a Mini Van fan myself. But you can get whatever you want to get. Maybe when I have kids I will see the need for one, but we had one when I was little and never used it. My dad turned it into his work van.
