All you really need to do is get a waiver from registry in Boston, need a Dr note saying your eyes are light sensitive....done..my brother has one so all his cars got dark tints,no issues...

I used to pull in and our with my windows down. It looked weird as my inspection was due in December but the shop never said anything. I just picked a day whennthe weather was decent.
