Who knew that changing idler arm bushing would make a world of difference. Bandit 4X4 bushings were installed this weekend and the steering is 100 times better and no longer sloppy. Idler arm brace will go on this thanksgiving.

Very nice to hear. Are you still running a OEM center-link? Did you change the bushing or have it done?

I put on the hoohaa (grassroots) centrelink 2 years ago.

Bushings were magically installed in my driveway by the bushing fairy

Ah, did the "fairy" have any troubles? Were the bearings in the center-link ok.
Is the "fairy" installing the brace?

I didn't think there were issues with it, went pretty smooth. Centrelink was still holding strong.

I am going to install the brace myself at my parents house so I can use the air tools and have a warm garage. I just have to decide if I am going to buy longer bolts to accomidate the brace or just take off the steering stabilizer, its been on since 2006 I am sure its probably pretty tired.

I agree the bushings make a huge difference!

hmmn well i have the steering stablizer and the bolts on mine are on the other side without the idle arm. Maybe you can flip yours around? then you dont need new bolts... just a thought but yours might be different. I have the AC steering stabilizer.

I have the Bandit bushings too but they are so tight when i put them on that i can't turn the wheel when sitting still. (33's) Tried another set of bandit buchings and got the same result. Bandit said they would wear in but they haven't. What's the deal with that?
