ok, ok, dumb question, but my truck's in the shop getting a laundry list of things done and I said do the oil and diff fluid while it's there. Both are overdue.
The mechanic is a Jeep guy so he asked what to put in it and I'll be damned if I can remember and the manual is in the truck somewhere. LOL!
I seem to recall the engine oil being 5W-30, but not a clue on the diffs.
This is in a 2000 SE 4x4, running synthetics all around.
Anybody know the details offhand?

I do have an LSD. the question is, why not? Not that I don't believe you, I just don't know.

The LSD additive makes the clutch plates in the LSD more slippery. The LSD have a low break away point on the Xterra anyway, particularly on the '02 to '04 models. So, if you leave it out, you'll get a little more push when you need it.
