Any suggestions? Mine looks like someone had explosive diarrhea all over it.

:haha:

I let my truck cool down to cold, then start the engine and use a pressure washer, being careful around electrical parts. Sometimes I use simple green and let it soak a while.

I do this after every wheeling trip and have never had a problem. My engine looks like new.;)

Cool. I have both simple green and a pressure washer.

Good info, thanks Scott.
I have used simple green and did it with the engine off. Had to replace some O2 sensors, luckily I got 'em under warr. This was a year or so ago, and I never did it again.... it REALLY needs it. I will try with the engine running from cold.

A quick not about O2 sensors is they will throw codes sometimes and not be bad. Moisture gets in there and changes the voltage and throws a code, CEL comes on, and dealer replaces the sensor. I have cleared them several times over the past few years, both by the dealer and myself and they read normally afterwards. You can see the voltages on the scanner.

So if you get a CEL that reads O2 sensor, don't just replace it right away.

Haha, that is probably what happened. That was the really crappy dealer who had my truck for 6 weeks, so they probably just replaced them. I was wondering how I could have messed something up, I was being super careful with the water (just let it flow out.. no nozzle or anything.

Good info, thanks!
