Pepper, if you've got the auto S (which I think you do), then it's 75W90

The M/T's have the D44 variant which gets 75W140

The rear diff is done. It went awesomely until we realized (already taken apart and drained) that I didn't have a tool big enough for the fill plug hexagon. (I dunno about the first gens, but the new Xs are HUGE!)

We went to Advance auto parts...nothing. Home Depot...nothing. Then we went to our friend Tom's house and he rummaged thru his stuff (he has a huge garage with just about anything you'd want) and he gave us what we needed. By this time, it was 9pm and dark, but, thankfully, at my house there's a 3 car garage and lots of lights...we just finished with a light bar underneath.

Other than the hex frustration, it was cool. but I really tore up that bottom. Chris beat it back with a BFH....and it's back in place.

Oh....does anyone know how to get that gasket stuff out of hair???

Yeah I gotta change out my fluid as well but I had to buy a new drain plug (the nut itself). Mine is distorted and is going to need a set of vise grips to get it off. Damn rocks!!

Oh you guys SHOULD have a day! Have fun! It was easy....

....and not a drop this morning! I hear ya about the rocks Gene! But we love them anyway right? I should have taken a picture of the damage. It was fixed easily enough, but I am DEFINITELY getting that Diff Skid!

A few drain plugs from Nissan are cheaper than the diff skid. Oh, that's right, the GG's are made out of plastic, you might need it.
