Of particular interest;

Quote:
(dd) On State land, no person shall sponsor, conduct or participate in any organized event of twenty or more people, except under permit from the department. Examples of organized events include, but are not limited to: sponsored hikes; archery and fishing tournaments; snowmobile; bicycle, horse and orienteering races, runs, rides or competitions (including biathlons and triathlons); encampments; and re-enactments.

(ff) On State land, no person shall sponsor, conduct or participate in advertising, weddings or film making and other such events, except under permit from the department.

sucks. i worked at a boy scout camp in the Saranac Lake area and camping restrictions on groups caused a lot a problems.

PLEASE keep sending the emails/letters/calls. I cc'd my Assemblywoman and got a terrific response from her when she cc'd me on her letter.

We've been camping on State land for years,and this year,this past memorial day weekend the D.E.C. actually stopped and gave us a permit for having a group over ten people,the guy was cool about it.It just seems like they are cracking down more now a days.

can't wait to see if it happens again this weekend
