Please visit the attached link and add your comment. Currently the
National Park Service is considering amending the 1992 plan that
protects the endangered Piping Plovers. If you are asking yourself why
do I care please keep reading. The parks service is offering up 3
proposals that are currently up for public comment. One of these
proposals suggests making amendments to allow for a better
balance between protecting the birds and recreation. This translated
means: if you have, will, or want to drive, fish, walk etc on the beach
and don't like be banned from the entire beach due to some nesting birds
you should comment.

I applaud The National Park Service for their proposal to update the
1992 Management plan for the threatened Piping Plower. I fully support
proposal B that would provide a balance between threatened and
endangered species with recreational opportunities for residents.
