Is it possible for me to install the nissan aux hook up on a stock S xterra radio? It's the 1 disc cd player radio, not the Rockford one. I rather ask the question before ripping it all apart to only find out I can't. I asked the salesman at the dealership bit he was just yesing me to death so I'd buy the X

I can't remember where I read it, but a member did create a link behind the stock radio that he could do an AUX hookup to. So, it is possible, but if memory serves, you'd need to pull the radio out and add the connection to the rear.

There is a way to add an auxiliary input, I don't recall which stereo it was done with. I'll see if I can find the link for you. EDIT: Found it. http://www.clubxterra.org/forums/showth ... +aux+inputTurns out it was for the Rockford Fosgate 6-disc unit. I'm unsure if it would work with the regular single-disc units. Either way, it looks like way more of a PITA than it's worth (at least for me). I opted to just swap out my H/U with an aftermarket one that had an auxiliary input.

I installed a USA Spec iPod adapter in my 03 Accord a couple of years back. Not sure how familiar you are with the internal workings of your dash, but just about anything can be possible. A bit of drilling and splicing, but nothing crazy difficult from what I had to do. The PA15-NIS claims to be adaptable for Nissan vehicles, but as always do your research before taking the plunge. http://www.usaspec.com/vehicle_products.php

No it's not. If you have rockford fosgate they have a thingy that uses the cd changer connection for your ipod. I said forget it and got a new kenwood x895 head unit installed they all have iPod connectors now.
