Leaf springs and shocks just like yours.

The only difference is the Axle and the shocks.

Have a look at some picts I took a while back:

Gah, sorry the shocks. I was wondering what make/model/brand....etc they were.

PonyBoy is selling his rear ones so I was going to investiage those a little bit.

Figure if this locker does happen I might see if I could get the shocks cheap.

They are Bilstien. Not sure the size or model, but they are a little stiffer then the S ones.

Think it's a bad idea putting 2 on if I can? Only 14,000 miles on them for $125?

Hmmm $125 for 2 seems high for used. Not sure of the model #, but you can get brand new heavy duty 5100s for ~$65 a piece from AC. Although I would not order shocks from them for the 05 as some have gotten pathy shocks instead of 05 X shocks.

Okay, so those aren't worth it. That's the info I was looking for. :)

Did you get the 3" SL ones, Micah?

You can just replace the rear with no problem. Many people do that, but $125 for used shocks does sound high.

Just read pony's thread. That is $125 for front and rear including front coils. Jeff good time to put on an AC lift.

Yea, I misread it apparently. So considering it's all 4, that doesn't sound too bad, does it?

Aren't people having problems with the AC lifts?

Only the OR's are having problems with the add leaf's. Otherwise they are fine.

Just a note about the front coils. If you buy pony's they are easy to install, but you might need an alignment afterwards.

If you go with the AC coils then you need to have the coils installed on the front shocks by a pro.

Are pony's shocks long travel or the stocks that came on the OR?

I would find some long travel ones being that you will be lifting it some day.
I guess you could always sell them after you do get the lift. I would go brand new w/ long travel so you're all set later on down the road.
