I am just about at the end of my 2nd OEM clutch, flywheel & pressure plate assembly at 37,000+ miles. My first clutch only lasted 35,000+ miles. I refuse to replace this 2nd clutch with another Nissan clutch as they have proved themselves weak and unable to accept the riggers of my daily driving and wheeling routine. I have 77,000+ miles on my X now.
So, the options I know of are JWT and Centerforce, which will be in stock as of 10/16/09. Are these the only options we know of?
JWT will not answer their phone as Bobby (XVTer) and I have tried.
I will be attempting to replace this clutch myself, but I have never done it before and do not know what to look for in diagnosing the problem.
I need a stout replacement that won't let me down like the Nissan clutch assemblies have. "Brain Trust assemble!"

Damn not answering their phones huh? That's weird I remember dealing with them years ago with no issue's..
I wonder if they have a race somewhere? They do alot of races and could be the reason they haven't answered.

I have a Centerforce II clutch that's done really, really well for me (although I've no idea what it'd do on the 2nd gens).

I've done clutches. It's not that bad. The one most helpful tool is a really long extension to reach the top bolts on the tranny. You'll also probably need some universals or wobble extensions.
I had a centerforce in my pathfinder. It was a stage I. They say that even on their oem cluches they holdmore 30% than stock.

When Jesse did mine (I'd like to say that I helped, but I just fetched tools), it was an all-day effort.

When a buddy and I did the one in my previous car it was an all day thing like Mike had mentioned.. It wasn't all that hard just time time consuming.

I added a thread to the Good Deals section with all the JWT Clutch/Flywheel information.

Hey Steve you should see if this order is restricted to 2nd gens. only. If not then you can see if they'll include 1st. gen. kits as well. Then you could post it everywhere and increase your odds..
