Post subject: 2008 Xterra heating design?
PostPosted: Sat Feb 02, 2008 8:53 am
Just purchased a new x after driving a Pathfinder for 11 years. Like the x but am disappointed with the heating - seems feet get cold while upperbody cooks even with setting on "floor". Just seems that the heat at the floor level just doesn't cut it or there is a cool draft entering from somewhere. Don't ever remember having this problem with the Pathfinder. Anyone else experience a similar problem or have a solution?

Mine definitely focused from the floor, but does seem to toast the upper body more so than the lower

I get the same feeling too. It just feels like the upper vents are leaking some of the heat which would mean less heat getting to the floor vents (I would assume) and cooking our upper bodies.

I don't recall that I have that problem...

I do have the passenger carpet out... I will take some pics of how they vent the floor heat to the rear...

Don't ask why the floor and seats has to be pulled out... There is no use crying over it!!!
