So after 2 years of no issues, the Xterra now has issues. Check engine came on a month ago. Scanned it, and came up with a bank 3 code. I started visually checking out stuff other then that, and found bank ones coil completely loose. Tightened it up and cleared the code. Came back on after 150 mile trip to and from Vt. Same code again, recently, intermittent rough idle and check engine light flashing around 1200 rpm, when code is cleared it stays at 800 rpm. Tired of this, so I sent it to my trusty mechanic, who is going to take care of what ever the f$%! Is bothering it. Most likely, for what I think it needs is,...new cats, coil pack, plugs, fuel filter, o2 sensor, crankshaft sensor, and gibe the throttlebody a bath. And maybe check for evap leak. If it does need new cats (most likely), I'm going to do a whole new exhaust including a Masterflow muffler. Then in the fall I need to get new OME greasable shackles and do the timing and clutch. Thinking of reinstalling front and rear sway bars and deleting the 1-1/2 wheel spacers. Also switching to aturos or DC fun countries. Thats where I'm at for now.

That's a big list. I had a coil fail the beginning of this year. Cats were done about 3-4 years ago.

That's a result of puting upgrades and mods on instead of doing the needed maintenance for the mileage.

I'm currently at 83k. What maintenance should I start thinking about (besides the standard oil change and the like)

Update.
Lucked out with just bank #3 coil and plug! Got a full diagnostic on everything. That was a great phone call to get, considering I prepared for the worst case scenario! He said everything looked great and it's in excellent condition for an 07 with 145,000 on it.
