I'm still running the stock Toyota hubs with chrome inserts.
but on my other rigs I have used the warn hubs.

If I couldn't get my hands on a set of old Nissan HB hubs (4) I'd like to try those AVM ones from eBay. I'd research a bit more but the brand is well respected and they look beefy.
Those Chinese autos didn't work out?

They worked. But I blew one (same side) on the trail at the summit ma bell run. Plus I'm installing a front locker this week to have it done for Ecxc . I might get a set of manual incase I blow my last spare at Ecxc and then just change them out

I ran with Warn for a couple of years. They were nothing but trouble for me. I switched to the old Nissan Hardbody hubs, and they were great. However, I hear they are rarer than hens' teeth now. I don't know anything about the other brands.

Choice number 1 = Nissan Hardbody hubs.
Last choice = Warn

When they break does mile marker send you new ones free or do you ship the old ones?

I might try the mike marker or AVM ones to see what happens. But the AVM I can't find good warrantee info on them unless I overlooked it.

How is warn when they break? Do they send you new pair of is it a pain in the ass?

The bolts on the WARN hubs tend to egg out the holes in your wheel hub destroying it.
So technically they don't "fail", any warranty is therefore moot.

I gotta be honest and say that I'd go back to Nissan auto's before I'd put MM or Warn hubs on my eggcrate....

One of the many MM on Justin's X;

Had them on the X. Havent decided to put them on or off for ecxc. Bringin 2 sets as backups. Blew my auto pair out at my first ecxc. Forgot to me tion the mile markers i got from 4x4parts and they were warrantied.

Warn would not even sell me parts. All I needed was one of the outer caps (they extend beyond the wheel and can be broken by rocks). They told me to go buy a whole new hub, which was only available in pairs. Buy two hubs for a big chunk of change when I only need one inexpensive part? Absolutely horrible on parts.

Like Tom said. Warns f-up your wheel hub. I have had the studs they provided break before reaching the specified torque, and had metric grade 5 through metric grade 10 (or 12?) bolts also break. Once, at the beginning of ECXC, I had all of the bolts holding the Warn to the wheel hub break, only finding out when I went to manually lock the Warn before going on the trail that it turned freely. Twice I had to replace the whole wheel hub.
