Ok so im unsure but is there a way I can adjust how far my wheels turn?

For example when I turn the wheels to the right or left fully they turn to far and the rim hits the upper control arm believe it or not? I just noticed this after ECXC maybe I tweaked something but is there and adjustment I could do?

There are two bolts on each side to adjust the turning. One in the front and one in the back of the front axle on the inside of the front wheel. You will see where the rub on the lower control arms.

Originally, they they have nylon caps on the heads, but they tend to fall off, which is why we keep them greased.

Personally, I leave them all the way in for the widest turning radius in the woods. I can tell when they are rubbing and back off. But if I need to turn hard in a tough situation, I can.

Yes, to farther illustrate Scott?s post, if you look at this picture,

right under the bottom left of the CV you will see the bolt and the piece of the LCA it hits. There is the same set up on the opposite side. These are the turning stops and they determine your turning radius. It could be that you wore out the plastic end cap that covers the bolt, it fell out as Scott said or you somehow loosened the bolt. I?d check those things first. You can buy a new end cap (I think it is part #40039-2S610, about $2) and/or move the stop bolt out a bit. It?s an easy adjustment. Loosen the lock nut, back the stop bolt out a bit, tighten the lock nut, grease both the bolt end cap and the part on the LCA and your done.

Ok that is what i thought when i was looking around last night before the post but wasn?t sure what those were because the cap is destroyed! it looks like it is squished and mangled beyond repair so i think im overturning before they even hit the stops... im going to do what you said tom and pick up new ones and try that out. ill let you know how it goes.

When you back out those bolts make sure you do not back them out too much. They need to be fully seated in the knuckle; you do not want that bolt held in place by just a few threads.

ok so i worked on the bump stops and they were totally retracted in... im not sure if this was done by the mfg when i got the truck or by Firestone when i got an alignment... but either way i adjusted them so they are extended out and nothing is rubbing so i think this will do the trick..
