Welcome to the club.

Can it be done? Yes, it's a framed vehicle and a few people have done it. Would I recommend it...not really.

Plowing is hard on any truck and since the X was never designed as a plow vehicle it would probably be worse for the wear.

i have plowed before in much bigger trucks and it tears them apart.

spend the 500 bucks on an old chevy truck with a plow already on it and just use that for a beater

^ What Richie said.

Plowing absolutely destroys trucks.

A friend of mine put a small plow on his F-150 about 10 years ago, thinking that he'd do some light work both on his own property as well as pick up a few dollars on the side doing a few other small jobs.

He told me at the end of the first season that, while he did make some money, he easily did as much damage to his truck because, while the roads may appear to be relatively smooth, it's the things that the plow would bump in to that would push in on the frame and transfer across the entire truck. In fact, I remember him showing me how much smaller the gap between the cab and bed were on one side compared to the other side.
