I was driving home to NY on friday and my friend said "your truck is peeing on me." i look over and theres a decent amount of water on the floor and dripping from under the glove box. i opened the glovebox and its all dry in there, but i havent gotten on the floor and poked around. the AC was on.

also, the fan speed only works on 2,3, and 4. I replaced the resistor thing that usually dies about 60,000 miles ago when the fan speed died, could it be that again?

if it was coolant, the heater core might be leaking.

If its just water, find the drain for the box that the evaporator is in. its probably clogged. i'd lean towards this especially since you said the AC was on. its usually a small hose that sticks out of the firewall (in the engine bay). if its clogged, just take an air nozzle and blow into it. that should solve your problem.

I didn't notice that he mentioned the AC.
You're probably correct. :D
Much cheaper fix than the heater core.

A few weeks ago Jonelle was getting a bath inside her Element. It was the drain. Thanks to Ernie's help I located it and blew it out with compressed air. All is fine now.

The drain on the X is on the passenger's side about half way from the center of the truck, right along the fire wall. Blow some compressed air into the hose any you'll probably see a lot of water come draining out afterward.

If it comes back soon again, you'll have to pull the drip pan inside the truck and clean it out.

get a can of compressed air from staples.. that should give you enough to get a result.
