I ran over a dead porcupine coming home from camping this past weekend,I could have swerved better to miss it completely,but I didn't want to lose my camper.Thankfully there is no major tire damage,I only caught the driver side front tire,I've picked out most of the needles (not sure of the correct scientific term),but there are still a few in the tire (there were many) here are a couple pics:

One of the Sgt's in my unit hit one with a HMMWV while we were at the range on Ft Drum. His tire looked just like yours! That little bugger was still alive when he hit it though. They're everywhere at Drum.
