The Gallery Database:
Was migrated to a current version last night. This is to stay ahead of the older platform being shut down by our host.

An update.

As of August 23rd we now use a registration form for events. The Back To School Run is the first event to implement this new 'sign up sheet'. This will help to keep things straight so far as who is signed up and the like.

Sponsors have been updated in the Sponsor Logo Rotation.

Please support our club sponsors. They help make our events better for all of us. Just click on their logo above the forum to go right to their site.

Thank you Sponsors!

New on our home page sidebar:
Our site is now showing the next three weeks of posted club events and the like.
Too Much? Not enough?

Also added an Off-Road RSS feed that may provide timely tidbits of vehicle industry news.
Have a better RSS feed that is more interesting? Let me know.

Comments welcomed as always.

I like the offroad news section Dave. The thing I don't is that it's burried at the bottom after a series of reminders to signup for the Halloween run.

On the right pane - can we have just the events listed from the calendar, instead of reminders? That way, folks would actually see the news. I actually missed the whole news section on my first look.

And what? Nissan Xterra's fate hangs in the balance http://www.autoblog.com/2013/09/21/nissan-xterras-fate-hangs-in-the-balance/

Hope they don't kill the Xterra.

I'll look to correct that, thanks.

Added Tread Lightly RSS feed to home page. What is Tread Lightly? Go HERE to find out what they are about. Following the Tread Principles we can help our sport in many ways.

TREAD PRINCIPLES
Travel Responsibly on land by staying on designated roads, trails and area. Go over, not around, obstacles to avoid widening the trails. Cross streams only at designated fords. when possible, avoid wet, muddy trails. On water, stay on designated waterways and launch your watercraft in designated areas.

Respect the Rights of Others including private property owners, all recreational trail users, campers and others so they can enjoy their recreational activities undisturbed. Leave gates as you found them. Yield right of way to those passing your or going uphill. On water, respect anglers, swimmers, skiers, boaters, divers and those on or near shore.

Educate Yourself prior to your trip by obtaining travel maps and regulations from public agencies. Plan for your trip, take recreation skills classes and know how to operate your equipment safely.

Avoid Sensitive Areas on land such as meadows, lake shores, wetlands and streams. Stay on designated routes. This protects wildlife habitats and sensitive soils from damage. Don’t disturb historical, archeological or paleontological sites. On water, avoid operating your watercraft in shallow waters or near shorelines at high speeds.

Do Your Part by modeling appropriate behavior, leaving the area better than you found it, properly disposing of waste, minimizing the use of fire, avoiding the spread of invasive species and repairing degraded areas.
