Just picked up an 02 Xterra and it’s got a ticking noise comin from the top end also a lot of smoke from tail pipe not coolant though any ideas? |

Maybe valve timing is off. Might need to check the timing belt. Maybe need to fix the valve rockers also. However, im not sure. Maybe someone else can chime in. |

What color smoke? Does ticking get faster with acceleration? We had ticking and it wound up being spark plug #6 was not all the way in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
