Ok, so I was upstate 2 weeks ago, and at a rest stop she would crank but wouldnt start. So I pressed the gas on the next try and it worked. I arrived at my destination unloaded, and same thing happened again. People tellin me it could be sensors or even a bad fuel pump, had me hesitant to drive up there so I just parked her for the weekend. On the day it came to leave, she started right up. I went around the countryside shootin photos all day and not 1 problem. And not a re-occurance since. Fackin weird or what man.

Now my issue is, I get to the truck after driving to the gas station just to get coffee. Come to the truck and she doesnt even crank. Horn wont honk, but lights work. Power windows and door locks dont work. I checked all my connections around the truck, all in tact. Go to the starter and stick a screwdriver across the terminals to makem spark. And there she goes, she starts right up. Mind you I just replaced the starter last year. This happened twice in the past 2 days. Note after jumpstarting the starter she starts up fine several times after. No rhyme or reason, wtf. Anybody got a clue?

One issue might be a Starter Solenoid?
Not sure how to actually check that....

That's a common problem with first gens. The fuel pump doesn't just die, it does a slow death...I'm betting you need a new fuel pump.

One of these days soon, it won't start at all.

Yea about those ports. For some reason my 2000X's positive terminal is and "L" shape and is unable to reach the battery post of both of my upgraded Optimas. Mixxali4 n-rigged a flat piece of 1/8" steel and bent it w his bare hands to reach. Mind you I have been runnin like this for the past year through all the trips, and now it comes loose. Im weary of extending the positive harness because Ive been advised against it, but thats just from reg mechanics. If anybody got an idea of how to properly extend this please do tell.

Yea man I already got dual battery setup nice and tight. Its just extending the maint harness of the positive cable. Maybe Im sayin it wrong. I'll take a pic after work.

Just use oversized thick battery cable for the extension so you compensate for the added length, and it will be good to go.

If you run it to an aux fuse box you can then also have a less crowded location for all the accessories' connections too.

Thanx TJ, thats exactly what I was thinking, but how to connect the 2 without causing a weak point between the 2. Like what ti crimp it with and what to crimp it in? I have seen some sort of union for wires, but only small gauges...
