Replaced the brake booster thanks to Ken, no more hissing when I hit the brakes but still have a stutter when I'm idle. Got an SES light and read codes P0441, 0455 & 0328. Two days later 441 & 455 are gone??

Glad to hear the booster worked out for you.
It was a pain in the ass to remove those bolts under the dash.
P0328 is the knock sensor and can be ignored.
That code will not cause your truck to run rough.

The other two codes were for the EVAP system.
Could be the gas cap not tightened or a vacuum line to the EVAP system could be cracked.
If they went away, forget about them unless they come back. :D

Did you replace your sparkplug wires?

Midas says not plugs/wires but engine harness, there's a part right under the supercharge pulley where the engine harness and a ground wire run next to each other and rub/break, and now the engine harness wire is shorting to the ground

Recommendation: replace Engine Wiring Harness....... but they couldn't find one and looking through courtesyparts I couldn't tell what I needed :x

Unless it's this: http://www.courtesyparts.com/24012-harn ... cPath=532&

and then........well shit

Before spending that kind of money, make sure that is the problem. If it's a short, you should be able to move things around to see if it stops. Look to see where it could be worn and fix the problem.

If they know where the problem is, it should be an easy fix with little work...rather than replacing the whole harness.

You don't want to keep throwing expensive parts at the problem.

The problems with dealers and places like Midas is how the mechanics are paid. Ernie can chime in here, but it may not be in their best interest to fully diagnose the problem.

They could spend hours tracking it down and get paid little to nothing. Replacing expensive parts does get them paid.
