i know i know... this is the MOST basic evap code that you can get (just "malfunction")... but for some reason i continually get this code... NONE other

once before i had a P0448.. but that was last year, this is the one that seems to always pop up

any thoughts on what it could be?

i replaced the gas cap with one from advanced, still got it... so i replaced the gasket on my OEM nissan gas cap... still comes up

any ideas? my FSM is wanting me to use a special tool that i just dont have access to for diagnosing

its getting old and frustrating
