Post subject: Creaky Clutch pedal  Posted: Sat Feb 04, 2006 1:59 pm |

The clutch pedal creaks BAD on my 00. To the point its embarassing in town. Ive lubed the contact at the slave and the points in the upper pedal assembly. Does anyone know if there are supposed to be bushings at the contact points of the return spring? Thanks

There is a nylon "clutch dampener" that goes inside the springs. That may be worn. The are at the top of the pedal, way up there. Try spraying that with some lube.
