Anyone know where the Fuel Pump relay is located on an 01 X w/ 3.3 V6?
I'm looking at the ESM and it's pretty vaigue. Pretty much points to the center of the dashboard. LOL
Can you be a little more specific?

Maybe someone else has a better idea of its location.

I'm starting simple with trying to figure out why my truck likes to eat Fuel Sending units on a monthly basis.

I have a replacement fuel pump standing by.
Just figured I'd start easy before dealing with the pump.

Anyone have other ideas?

Without looking, I thought it was in the set of relays in the under hood fuse box. I doubt it is under the dash. The fuse for the fuel pump is in the under dash fuse panel.

I checked under the hood and it's not in that fuse/relay box.
The ESM shows it being in the center of the dash.
I popped two of the panels off and took a look and only saw one relay without digging in too much.

I don't want to just start replacing stuff randomly. :(

Fixed the issue after tearing apart half of my truck.
Only to find out it was something really stupid.

Where the fuse goes in was widened up too much, so one side wasn't making contact with the fuse.
I took a small precision screwdriver and bent the prongs back down and the fuse completes the circuit and I have power to the relay.

Put the key forward and I hear the fuel pump kicking on once again.

I threw a charge on the battery and it started right up.

After sitting for 6 months and this was all it was?! ugh..

I went through the following parts;
Fuse
Fuel Pump relay (right above the e-brake)
Fuel sending unit (multiple ones)
Fuel Pump
Wired it directly off the battery to test everything.
ugh..

Well, now it's time to make sure I fix any other issues before I tear it all apart to do the timing service, heads and cams.

It's always the simple stuff. I've torn things apart before and then thought, go simple.

Glad you found the fix.

No kidding. I know I check that fuse and even swapped it out for other fuses at least two or three times.

All well..
At least it runs now.. :D

Now I just have to do EVERYTHING.
