Ok I've had my ABS light for a while now. The reason it's on is because of a slice in the wire near the drivers side front wheel.

Now my question is. Will it work if I took a piece of wire and cut the slice out and replace it a piece of wire and solder it so it stays??

What your thoughts?

you should be able to repair by soldering the broken section together as long as the sensor end is still good. If you want to pull it and mail it to me I can solder it, re-insulate it then do a resistance check on it to see if it checks out. It will give me a chance to try out my new soldering iron I just picked up from my snap on dealer :D

I have soldered three of my ABS lines with good results. It's a scam what they charge for ABS lines. It's just coax cable.

Yeah tell me about it Scott.. They want like $120 for it.

I wanna try the soldering route and go from there. I need to go the cheapest way possible. I need to get it inspected.

I've soldered the same wire back together a few times.
Works fine. :D
My Nissan service dept. told me it was fine to do.
