ok sh*t hit the fan. I allowed my wife to drive my X for the last month b/c we've had a lot of snow in NY lately. Today she gets home and gives me a laundry list of crap wrong w/my truck! grinding noise in front end, SES, ABS, VDC, and slip lights all on and it won't go into 4wd. WTF! someone help me out! think im gonna pay through the ass at the dealer.....

Relax. This is a common problem with the 05 models. My OR it did it on and off. Drove me nuts.

You can try to reset it by disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes.

or
do a search on thenewx.org for helpful advice.

tried the battery thing. The SES light went off but not the abs, vdc, and slip. Im more nervous about the grinding around corners...

Grinding or chattering from the front tires on the pavement?

grinding, not the chattering that I'm used to. Wondering if its a CV or wheel bearing? could either of these hurt the wheel sensor and caused the lights to come on?

my 05 does that from time to time. Not the grinding though

One thing that has helped with mine is washing the X. The Road Grime, Salt, Snow, Mud and dirt get onto and in the ABS sensors and cause the lights to come on.

Give the X a good under carriage wash from time to time.

Glad the X is back on the road with no issues
