Well, the 4runners right rear axle seal has been leaking for a couple of days .
I wanted to get the runner ready for the Turkey Run on the 23rd.
so I pulled the axle out to replace it and found the axle bearing shot :bang:
The problem with that is you need a special tool to press the bearings out.
I had a friend @ toyota that I could borrow it from, but he has moved away.
So the other option I have is to make my own tool.
You take a whole rearend and cut it in half to make the tool to press out the axles.
I went to my local salvage yard to find a housing empty and they had one in the truck still complete for $75.00.
So I get two more axles complete ,another carrier assembly and the housing to make the tool from for $75.00.
Gotta love the old Toyotas

Very clever. That is a nice garage...and a sink too.

Yeah, thats my buddy's garage that had the tool I borrowed before.
Unfortunately I lost the argument on getting a garage VS. a large deck 34 x 18 and 24 x 18 heated pool.
So I have to do work at my dealerership or out of my 22 x 14 x 8 tent /garage in the back yard.
Hopefully I will have my real garage soon enough.

I was kind of wondering where you were hiding that garage... ;)
