Ever since getting back from the Old Florida Rd. run, I have a big squeak coming from something near my leaf springs. I can't nail down where it coming from, but I hear it everytime I get in and out of the truck and can make it by just shaking the truck a little.

any ideas?

Hmmm. Quick diagnostics. A bushing or something along that line? Time for a polly bushings.

Micah, try sprayin all the leaf springs down with some PB Blaster, i have the same problem, i think its coming from the bushings but not 100% sure, it sqeaked and creaked over every bump, and every time i got in or out of the truck, i sprayed the hell out of the shackles, the entire leaf pack and inside the hanger, if you don't have PB Blaster, use some WD-40, but the blaster lasts longer, let us know if it cured it...oh and after i went wheeling one time, i got a sqeak from the front end, it was the UCA bushings, so incase your front end starts to sqeak too spray the UCAs down too

It happens all the time. Crap gets in between the springs. Here's what I do. Pressure wash the springs, trying to get any dirt and sand out from between the leafs. Let it dry, and spray the hell out of them. I use WD-40 and then some white lithium grease. It's usually good until the next wheeling trip. Those bushings are quite soft and some spray in there will help, but it's usually in between the leafs on my truck.

Also, my leaf clamps spread apart after last weekend so I'll have to tighten those down as well.

My 2 cents (I'm not mechaniclly inclined,but I'm learning)

PB Blaster is great stuff,I use it a lot at work on one of our flatbeds, but it evaporates quickly so after you hit it with the PB make sure you lube it and it should be ok.
