factory am/fm 6 disc changer was changing disc internally, the display shows ERR3 and won't do anything but let you use the radio. any help would be great

I got that once off-roading but it hasn't happened since..

I've heard of this before, but it was quite a while ago. If i remember correctly, it was due to a broken drive mechanism in the changer. The person had to take it to the dealership where they dismantled the radio to remove the cd's and had to install a new one.

Of course yours may not be as extreme as that.

I also forgot to add that I think the reason that caused mine was due to my battery terminal being a little loose on my battery.. My CB was shutting off as well the same day, so I traced the problem down to that..

So it might be worth a shot.


But I have also heard of what anthony's reffering too and I thought that was my problem as well. But it turned out that it wasn't..
