Well, I took my mudflaps off this weekend and had no problem taking the tires off. But when tighten that stupid security lug nut putting the rear tire back on, the F'er broke.
I could see it braking if I was cranking on it, but I was just tighten it with the X still on the jack. Not putting much effort into it.
Any ideas for a fix? I am going to the dealer tomorrow for an oil change. I think will let them deal with it. Plus replace the remain "security" lugs with real lug nuts.

I don't have them, saw this on XF, but have no idea how to help you.
Good luck with it.

I am just going to let the dealer deal with it. It should be under warranty.

I know this is an old thread, but I thought I'd post, in case anyone is searching in the future.
Get a socket that is a little too small to fit over the security lug nut. Bash that baby on there with a BFH. Remove the lug nut. Then, crack the socket off the nut.
Maybe use a Craftsman socket, so you can get it replaced when you're done.
