Welp the truck is going in on Wednesday. Have this horrid squealing noise coming from the engine.
The tech took a quick look at it and couldn't tell where it's coming from.
The alternator was replaced 10,000 miles ago so he doesn't think that's it even though it sounds like it. He was having a real hard time locating the noise.
It's only when you step on the gas.

Good luck with that. Hope it's not serious. Other than the alternator, and some people fried them often on the first gens, and why did they keep it so low again? My guess would be the tensioner, idler pulley. After that theres the compressor--hope it's not that or the power steering.
Hope it's just a belt.

Best of luck Jeff. I hope it's not anything major.

My guess would be the idler pully like Scott said. Might have gotten packed w/mud or sand/salt. Could also be the water pump? Good luck and let us know what the diagnosis is.

They didn't get a chance to work on it yesterday. So hopefully today it will be done.
They've given me a 2008 Sentra though. Nice not having to pay for gas.

Welp got it back. Gotta love an extended warranty. It was a tensioner that was lose and so they replaced that.
I've exceeded the cost of my warranty in repairs so far, so I'm happy I got it and get to use it!

Nice!!!
Those Sentra's aren't too bad though. Fun little car to drive around in. I used to have one before I bought the X.
